The Mac Jones era at Alabama begins in earnest on Saturday night at Mizzou, where the Crimson Tide are heavy favorites.

Jones got some work last year, starting at quarterback in place of Tua Tagovailoa after he was injured late in the season.

Now, it’s his show. Speaking on College GameDay on Saturday morning, Alabama coach Nick Saban revealed the aspect of Jones’s game he expects to be evident against the Tigers:

“I think his consistency,” Saban said. “I think Mac’s big thing has always been if he can stay in front of himself and play the next play and not get too frustrated with what happened on the last play or over-analyze what happened on the last play, he seems to do much, much better when he stays focused on doing his job and stays focused forward on the next play. He’s gotten a lot better at that and has done a good job at that this fall.”

Jones has plenty of weapons on offense, including WRs Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith and RB Najee Harris.

Will Jones get off to a hot start against the Tigers on Saturday? Tune into ESPN at 7 p.m. Eastern time to find out what happens.
