Nick Saban has gotten some consistency in the left tackle position.
Kadyn Proctor, a freshman and the No. 1 lineman in the 2023 class, has started to come into his own in the left tackle position after much uncertainty of who would play in that position for Alabama.
“Kadyn Proctor’s getting better and I think he’s gaining experience and learning,” Saban said in his presss conference Monday. “What we want him to do is not worry so much about making a mistake that he’s not playing aggressively. That’s what we’ve been working on with him. I think he’s getting better and he’s getting more confident, and I think he played fairly well.”
He did have his mistakes in Alabama’s last game against Tennessee, but Saban believes those mistakes are now few and far between.
“He had a play or 2 that he’d tell you and I’d tell you and his coach’d tell you that we didn’t execute exactly correctly,” Saban said. “But those plays are getting fewer and fewer, and the good plays are getting greater and greater.”
Saban and Alabama are looking for a big game on Saturday as they take on LSU.
