Alabama doesn’t lose 2 games in a row.
It was the most competitive 30-6 final score you can imagine, but Alabama is a strong 7-1 after a solid performance against Mississippi State Saturday night.
Head coach Nick Saban reflected on the bounce-back win immediately following the game.
“It’s a great win for us,” Saban said. “We needed to answer the bell today. I thought the guys did that. They competed well in the game. It wasn’t always perfect, but I liked the mindset that we had – the way we went about it and how we competed in the game. “Really pleased with how the defense played today and too bad they scored on the last play. We need to be able to take the air out of it on offense, too.”
Alabama still controls its own destiny in the SEC West, needing to hold off a charging LSU after the Tigers manhandled Ole Miss earlier in the college football slate.
The Crimson Tide are back in action in 2 weeks against the Tigers in Death Valley to keep its march to another SEC Championship alive. For now, it seems like the division is Alabama’s to lose.
