Nick Saban has faced this question before. The Alabama coach still has no solid answer for it.
“I really…I can’t,” Saban said when asked about his favorite win at Alabama according to a report on Al.com from comments he made on his weekly radio show.
Media and fans didn’t get the answer that they have craved for years. However, Saban did provide some insight when asked what his favorite all-time win at Alabama. He didn’t specify a win but said the 2009 team stands.
“I probably have a little bit more heartfelt love for (that team) because they came here when we weren’t any good,” he said.
That 2009 Alabama team finished 14-0 and demolished No. 1 Florida in the SEC Championship Game 32-13. The Tide, of course, went on to hammer Texas in the national title game 32-13.
That national title team helped lay the foundation for Alabama’s dominance.
The Crimson Tide is ranked No. 2 in the nation and hosts Arkansas today at 3:30 on CBS.
