Nick Saban comments on what Alabama’s defense is getting with the addition of Henry To’o To’o
Nick Saban sounds fired up to have Henry To’o To’o on his Alabama roster.
The former Tennessee standout made the decision to leave Rocky Top via the transfer portal following the firing of Jeremy Pruitt. In his two seasons at Tennessee, To’o To’o racked up 140 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and a pick-six interception.
During his appearance at SEC Media Days on Wednesday, Saban was asked to comment on what the Crimson Tide are getting in To’o To’o.
“Well, we thought Henry was one of the best players and defensive players in our conference in watching him play at Tennessee. And we recruited him in high school, thought he was an outstanding player in high school. You are talking about a fine young man who’s very intelligent, very instinctive player, very conscientious, wants to know everything about not only what he does, but everybody on the defense.
“He’s got really good leadership qualities. So, I think there’s a lot of positives that he can bring.”
