Nick Saban and Jalen Milroe were all smiles Saturday night after Alabama knocked off Texas A&M, and they spoke with Jenny Dell of CBS Sports.
There were plenty of mistakes and other problems, from penalties to turnovers, but Alabama ultimately knocked off the Aggies and remained in control of the SEC West.
“I think our guys did a great job of showing a lot of tenacity, liked the way they played in the second half, we had to overcome a lot of adversity, a lot of calls, we kicked ourselves in the foot getting penalties, helping the other team, which is something we need to eliminate,” Saban said. “This is a great win, this is a tough place to play. They’ve got a good team and I’m really proud of the way our guys competed in this game.”
Milroe said Texas A&M took a lot of preparation entering the game.
“We knew coming into the game it was going to take all 11 guys,” Milroe said. “You come to college to play in a game like this, it was fun. I’m very glad we came out with a win and Roll Tide.”
