When your team has an exciting, dual-threat quarterback and a defense that has a knack for scoring touchdowns, it’s easy for offensive lineman to get lost in the shuffle when talking about No. 1 Alabama. While LT Cam Robinson is sure to be a high draft pick, Nick Saban acknowledged another offensive lineman Monday as the team’s unsung hero for 2016.

Bozeman had big shoes to fill after last year’s starting center, Ryan Kelly, went No. 18 overall to the Indianapolis Colts. He exceeded almost everyone’s expectations, being recognized as one of the SEC’s top centers in 2016 by Pro Football Focus.

Saban also praised Bozeman’s leadership qualities.

While Kelly was the starting center, it’s worth noting that Bozeman saw action in all 15 games last season coming off the bench, giving him the experience to be a confident leader this season.
