Everything Nick Saban had to say after Alabama’s 66-3 win over Western Carolina
Alabama improved to 10-1 on the season thanks to a dominating 66-3 win over Western Carolina down in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.
The Crimson Tide forced five turnovers in the game, surrendered fewer than 180 yards of total offense and held Western Carolina to only two of 12 third down conversions.
This contest was the first Alabama game without Tua Tagovailoa, who injured his hip last weekend against Mississippi State and has been ruled out for the season. In Tagovailoa’s place, Mac Jones got his second start of the season and finished the game completing 10 of 12 passes for 275 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
After the game, Nick Saban shared his thoughts on the performance of his new starting quarterback.
“Well, I think he did a good job. I thought he played well when he played against Arkansas,” Saban said. “I’m sure he will learn some things today and we’ll learn some things about him as well.”
