Ahead of Saturday’s contest with the Arkansas Razorbacks, Alabama head coach Nick Saban talked about his impressions of the Razorbacks defense especially Hogs defensive lineman John Ridgeway.
Saban said this about Ridgeway and the Razorbacks defense via Bama Online after the Crimson Tide’s Wednesday practice.
“I think their front is really, really good,” Saban said. “They’re active, they’re physical, they’re hard to block, they do a good job of rushing, they do a great job of executing the defense. He’s (Ridgeway) physical, hard to block. They play a three-down scheme a lot so it’s challenging for those guys to be able to put enough pressure on the passer as well as stop the run and they do a really good job and he’s a big key to it.”
The Razorbacks are currently ranked No. 37 in the country in total defense.
