Nick Saban praises kicker Will Reichard despite few missed kicks: ‘I absolutely just love the guy’

A strong field goal kicker can often be the difference between winning and losing in college football. Alabama coach Nick Saban is thankful to have a reliable one on his side.
Alabama field goal kicker Will Reichard is coming off a 4-for-4 performance in the 32-31 loss against LSU. Overall this season, Reichard has converted 16 of his 20 field goal attempts.
Saban praised the dependability of Reichard and expressed a great deal of admiration for the senior.
Saban on Will Reichard: "I think Will's been great. … He's done a really good job for us this year. I know he missed a couple, but they were long ones, they were tough ones. He's been very, very consistent."

Reichard’s long conversion this season is a 52-yarder and he’s 3-for-5 on kicks from 50+ yards. The Hoover, AL native has made all 44 of his extra point attempts. For his career, Reichard is 56-for-69 on field goals and 220-for-222 on extra points for 388 points.
2-loss Alabama will attempt to avoid a losing streak when they travel to take on No. 11 Ole Miss. The contest on Saturday is slated for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff and will be televised on CBS.
Alabama leads the all-time series 53-10-2 against Ole Miss, as they have a 6-game winning streak in the matchup. Alabama hasn’t lost to Ole Miss since 2015.
