Alabama tight end Cam Latu missed the Crimson Tide’s season opener against Utah State. I mean, it’s not like they needed him – Alabama mopped the floor with the Aggies, 55-0.
And the Crimson Tide may be adding another weapon for Bryce Young against the Longhorns. Head coach Nick Saban updated Latu’s status Wednesday evening.
Saban: “Cam Latu has looked good. 100 percent. … From a health standpoint, we think he’s ready to go.”

Saban also continued saying, “This will be his first game.”
Latu can make an instant impact for the Tide in an already unfair offense. He totaled 26 passes for 410 yards, and 8 touchdowns last season.
The Longhorns were in for quite the test already. Alabama looks to improve to 2-0 Saturday at Noon EST on ABC.
