Alabama DL LaBryan Ray has missed 3 games this season already with an elbow issue.
Now, as the Crimson Tide head into the stretch run of the season, he’s working his way back to full strength.
On Wednesday night, coach Nick Saban provided an update on Ray, saying he is nearing a return to the field, which would be helpful against Kentucky:
Nick Saban says LaBryan Ray is “back to practicing” and whether he plays Saturday is a matter of how confident he is in his elbow. “Maybe there’s some role he can play in the game, but it’s going to be strictly up to how he feels."

Obviously, Saban isn’t committing to a huge role for Ray, but some work on the field would be better than nothing.
In 3 games this season, Ray has recorded 11 tackles, 1 sack and 1 tackle for a loss. We’ll see what happens with Ray on Saturday.
