Nick Saban quote provides evidence that Alabama won’t take Texas lightly

Top-ranked Alabama heads to Texas on Saturday for what will be a matchup of future SEC foes and two of the biggest brands and most storied programs in college football.
That said, oddsmakers aren’t expecting much of a game, as the Crimson Tide are currently 20-point road favorites over the Longhorns.
You can bet, however, that Alabama coach Nick Saban isn’t concerned about what Vegas thinks about the matchup.
In fact, a quote from him this week about practices leading up to the Texas game would indicate as much, as Saban told reporters, “Coach (Bear) Bryant had a saying, ‘You never know what a horse can pull until you give them a heavy load.'”

Translation: The Crimson Tide are being pushed hard in practice this week ahead of their first road test of the season.
Saturday’s meeting between Alabama and Texas is set for noon (ET) and will be televised by Fox Sports.
