Nick Saban remembers last trip to Texas as big favorite: ‘We got our ass kicked’

Nick Saban will probably have to fight rat poison all season. With Alabama likely to be heavily favored in every game this season, the Crimson Tide head coach doesn’t want his team to get complacent.
So that means bringing up past failures.
Saban: “Everybody has heard that we’re 20-point favorites in this game, and the last time we were 20-point favorites and we went to Texas, we got our ass kicked.”

Saban is talking about Alabama’s 41-38 loss to Texas A&M last season. Now the Crimson Tide were only 18.5-point favorites in that game, but Saban’s point remains — it’s going to be a tough road environment against a team that has pointed to this game for eight months and anything can happen.
Alabama will play Texas at noon Saturday. The game will be on FOX.
Crimson Tide fans, are you a little worried about this week’s trip to Austin to take on the Longhorns or are you just entertained by Saban being grumpy?
