Nick Saban: ‘Ridiculous’ to think SEC is a one-horse race

Nick Saban believes there’s a lot more to the SEC than just Alabama.
Saban and the No. 1 ranked Crimson Tide look to be the best in the SEC yet again this season, but he believes the league is deeper than it gets credit for. When asked if the SEC was a one-horse race, Saban labeled the thought “ridiculous.”
“I think it’s ridiculous that people think that,” said Saban. “Last year, playing in our league, we ended up beating more ranked teams than anyone in the country. So there had to be some other good teams that we were playing every week.”
Alabama is off to a 3-0 start, but Saban believes it will need to improve moving forward in order to keep a perfect record. He also views Vanderbilt as a Top 25 team given the Commodores performance so far this season.
