What Nick Saban said after Alabama’s big win over Colorado State
By Paul Harvey
Published:
The No. 1 Crimson Tide took down Colorado State 41-23 Saturday.
Alabama never looked back as the Tide jumped out to a 24-10 halftime lead on their way to a second straight game with 41 points. QB Jalen Hurts was dynamic with 248 yards and 2 TDs passing and over 100 yards and another TD rushing.
Alabama did allow 13 fourth quarter points, but the game was put away well before that point. Still, Saban certainly would have preferred a stronger finish to the game on the defensive side of the ball.
The Crimson Tide are set to begin SEC play next Saturday against Vanderbilt.
Here is what Saban said following the Tide victory:
Saban: "I was pleased with how we started fast. That was certainly the goal … We didn't sustain that."

— Aaron Suttles (@AaronSuttles) September 17, 2017
Saban: "We didn't execute pressures very well, but we had a couple interceptions which were huge."
— Chandler Rome (@Chandler_Rome) September 17, 2017

— Alex Byington (@_AlexByington) September 17, 2017
Nick Saban: "I tried to play a lot of players in the game. Maybe we tried to do it too soon."
