Nick Saban knows his team needs to make progress in one key area if they hope to compete this season. The Alabama offensive line has been a major weakness this season, as only Florida International, Colorado, and Old Dominion have allowed more sacks than the Tide.
“It’s paramount to the rest of the season that we can continue to make progress and improve on the offensive line. I think a lot of it is fundamentals,” explained Saban.

Saban is not used to having an offensive line struggle this much. The Tide have won the Joe Moore Award, given to the nation’s best line, twice. The Tide’s struggles on the line have also led to struggles in the run game. Usually a top running team, the Tide have just the No. 84 rushing offense in the nation this season.
Saban’s squad will have a chance to improve their numbers against the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 7.
