Nick Saban shares latest on Brian Robinson’s status, practice participation ahead of showdown with No. 1 Georgia
With just under 24 hours before Alabama and Georgia face off in the SEC Championship Game, Alabama head coach Nick Saban shared an update on the health status of running back Brian Robinson Jr.
Robinson pulled his hamstring in the Iron Bowl. Robinson’s status for Saturday has been closely watched throughout the week. Saban shared the latest on Robinson in a Friday appearance on the SEC Network.
“Certainly he’s been a great player for us all year long and is a real important part of our offense. But yet, we’re going to make the decision based on his future.”

If Robinson doesn’t start, they will have to turn to running back Trey Sanders to carry the load. Other than Robinson, Sanders is the only healthy scholarship running back left for Alabama.
