Alabama left the Orange Bowl with one major injury concern: LB Christian Miller. The talented pass-rusher left the game early with a hamstring injury.
The day after the Oklahoma game, reports surfaced that Alabama had received encouraging news in the results of Miller’s MRI, saying he had pulled his hamstring, but not torn it. A tear would have ruled him out against Clemson. A pull leaves the door open that he may play Monday.
Nick Saban provided an update on Miller’s status in a “College GameDay” appearance Tuesday.
“I think he’s questionable at this point whether he’s going to be able to recover and contribute in this game,” Saban said. “We’re sort of taking it day by day to see how he responds.”
The senior has recorded 36 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and 12 quarterback hurries.
