No. 1 Alabama defeated Missouri 39-10 and the game was never in doubt, but there were some worrisome moments for Crimson Tide fans. QB Tua Tagovailoa and WR DeVonta Smith were both injured in the game.
UA coach Nick Saban shared the latest on each injury in his postgame press conference.
Tagovailoa aggravated his injured right knee, which he had sprained in the Week 6 win over Arkansas. Saban had good news after the game, noting that Tagovailoa could have returned if need be.
“We don’t think there’s any issues or problems with (Tagovailoa’s knee),” Saban said, per AL.com.
He also confirmed that Smith’s injury is not one of any major concern. After pulling a muscle, the wideout is day-to-day, according to Saban.
