Tennessee’s defensive line put together a fantastic game against Texas A&M on Saturday, picking up 2 sacks and 5 tackles for loss and getting to Max Johnson seemingly every play.

Ahead of Alabama’s matchup with the Vols, Nick Saban knows his offensive line has a big job ahead of it.

On Monday, Saban spoke on what Alabama’s offensive line needs to do better in preparation for the Tennessee game.

“It’s very important, it’s been important all year,” Saban said in his press conference. “We have to do a really good job planning wise and we have to fundamentally play better. It’s a combination of both. Both those things are coaching and teaching things that we need to do better. Guys need to set better, hand placement’s gotta be better, footwork’s gotta be better. We’ve got to make sure whatever scheme it is we’re trying to use, that players are capable of doing it. Without putting themselves in bad position.”

It won’t be an easy feat, but if Alabama can contain Tennessee’s defensive line it should have success. The Vols’ offense was sluggish last week, and the Tide are hoping they can keep it under wraps this Saturday.
