Nick Saban shares his thoughts on Alabama’s huge win over undefeated Texas A&M
After being pushed early against Texas A&M, Alabama eventually cruised to a huge 33-14 win at home to move to 8-0 on the season.
While the Tide did lead the game at halftime, the Aggies came out of the break ready to play and wrestled the lead away from Alabama following the first possession of the second half. However, after that possession, it was all Alabama from there on out. The game-sealing play came midway in the third period, as the Crimson Tide extended its non-offensive touchdown streak to 10 consecutive games thanks to defensive end Jonathan Allen’s scoop and score.
Immediately after the game, Alabama head coach Nick Saban shared his thoughts on his team’s performance.
“I really like the way our players responded to the touchdown drive (of A&M’s) on the first drive of the second half,” Saban said. “This team has a great competitive spirit. We have gotten better every week. There’s certainly things we can improve on and we have a tough game coming up against LSU.”
Immediately after the game ended, Saban was asked about his star defender Eddie Jackson, who left the game due to an injury and did not return.
“I can’t tell you, I really don’t know,” Saban admitted. “(The training staff) took him back to the training room and x-rayed him, that’s all I know.”
During his post game comments, Saban confirmed the worst – Jackson’s season has come to an end:
Eddie Jackson out for the season, per Saban. Leg fracture.

Saban: "I'm sick for (Eddie) and his family. It's unfortunate when it happens to a great guy and a very, very good player."

Saban also touched on the importance of the team’s bye week before facing off against LSU:
Saban on next week's bye: "It's good to have a week off, and I want the players to relax, get healthy, but we can't get relieved."
