Nick Saban shares update on Alabama players injured in The Citadel game

Heading into Saturday’s game, Nick Saban made it clear he was set on treating The Citadel the same as any other game in regards to potentially “resting” key players for the Iron Bowl, SEC Championship Game and beyond.
In the first half, that looked like the right strategy as The Citadel shocked everyone and had Alabama tied 10-10 at the half.
Some might question Saban playing some of his regular contributors even when Alabama was comfortably ahead in the second half. After the game, Saban shared the latest on three players – RB Damien Harris, DB Deionte Thompson and OL Alex Leatherwood – injured in the game.
These injuries will certainly be storylines this week heading into the Iron Bowl.
