Alabama coach Nick Saban met with the media after Thursday’s practice. Saban had three injury updates. One injured player will be back sooner than the other while another defender continues to be limited.
Freshman DL D.J. Dale reportedly suffered a minor knee injury in practice last week. It sounds like that absence is about to come to an end.
“We expect D.J. Dale to start practice tomorrow,” Saban told reporters.
Reserve defensive lineman Stephon Wynn was injured in Saturday’s scrimmage. Saban shared details of the injury and how long he’ll be out at Thursday’s press conference.
“Stephon Wynn has a high ankle sprain. He’ll probably be out another week,” Saban said.
A high-ankle sprain is never good news, but only being out another week is better than most of the recent injury updates to come out of Tuscaloosa.
Sophomore DL LaBryan Ray, who missed two weeks of camp with a foot injury, continues to practice “on a limited basis,” according to Saban.
