Nick Saban and Alabama get a much needed bye week this weekend after what has been a grind of a season so far.

The Tide are fresh off a win over Tennessee on Saturday and are gearing up to try and solidify their spot in the SEC Championship through the November slate.

In his press conference Monday, Saban addressed what Alabama is focusing on during the bye week.

“I think it’s about correcting,” Saban said. “I think it’s about doing quality control on what you’ve done, see if there’s some tendency or some thing that you would add or subtract that would create more balance in doing what you do so you’re not giving your opponent some tell on what you’re doing. It’s a lot about self analysis and how can we implement that in a more positive way.”

Alabama has looked solid since taking a loss in Week 2 against Texas, but there’s alway something to improve on. The Tide have struggled to play well for an entire 60 minutes, so figuring out how to play complete games will likely be a point of emphasis.

After the bye, Alabama has another tough game against LSU that will have plenty of SEC West implications.
