Nick Saban will reportedly receive a major honor from Alabama this fall, the first season for the Crimson Tide program since the legendary coach retired.
According to Tony Tsoukalas with Tide Illustrated, Alabama will dedicate and name the football field in honor of Saban. The name Bryant-Denny Stadium will remain, but the playing surface will be dedicated as “Nick Saban Field.”
The dedication will occur in Week 2 ahead of a Sept. 7 matchup against South Florida.

It is far from the only honor Saban has received from the program, but the head coach is undoubtedly deserving of every accolade. Saban was given an office inside the stadium upon his retirement, and he has had a statue outside the stadium since 2011 after winning his first title with the program.
The program is moving forward under Kalen DeBoer, but Saban left an impact like no other across 17 seasons with the Tide. Now, he heads into retirement and a new career in broadcasting, but his name and legacy will live on in Tuscaloosa.
