The hope for every game is to come away without any injuries. That was especially the case the week before the SEC Championship Game.

Unfortunately, Alabama had a notable injury in Saturday’s win at Arkansas. Will linebacker Christian Harris had to leave the game after hurting his shoulder on the Crimson Tide’s first defensive play of the game.

“Christian hurt his shoulder,” Saban told reporters in his postgame press conference. “I don’t know exactly how bad it is yet. I don’t know. Doc said they’re gonna do an MRI on him, and he said he didn’t know for sure the extent. But that would determine whether he can come back and play this week or how long he would be out, and I can’t really comment on that right now.”

Harris leads the Alabama defense in tackles both solo (43) and total (64). In nine games, he also logged 6 quarterback hurries, 5 TFL, 2.5 sacks and 2 pass breakups.

Jaylen Moody stepped in for Harris after the injury, recording a career-high 7 tackles, which tied him for the lead on Saturday.

“I think Jaylen did a pretty good job,” Saban said.

Whether it is Harris or Moody getting the start in Atlanta against Florida will be closely followed between now and next Saturday.
