Alabama coach Nick Saban updated media with the latest status on a pair of injured players during his Monday press conference.
Starting right guard Alphonse Taylor has missed the last four games with a concussion and Saban was pessimistic about his return this week. Running back Bo Scarbrough, who missed last week’s game against Mississippi State after twisting his right knee versus LSU, seems to be sidelined momentarily as a precaution.
Saban on Alphonse Taylor: "I'm not assuming he'll make it back. I don't think he will."

Saban: "Bo (Scarbrough) has a sprained knee. Medically, we think he's OK … Hopefully he'll be able to make enough progress this week."

Sophomore Lester Cotton has started in Taylor’s absence the last four games and should continue to do so. Scarbrough, the team’s third option at running back, ranks 7th in the SEC with 184 yards rushing and three touchdowns (t-1st) in the fourth quarter.
Alabama (10-0, 7-0) will host FCS Chattanooga this Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.
