Alabama cornerback Marlon Humphrey should be good to go for this weekend’s SEC Championship Game, coach Nick Saban said during a Monday news conference.

Humphrey, a redshirt sophomore who garnered Freshman All-American honors last season, injured his right leg in the second half of the Crimson Tide’s 30-12 win against Auburn last Saturday.

“We’re going to take it easy with him for a day at least for a little while and see how it goes,” Saban told reporters. “We’re hopeful that he’ll be able to practice some later in the week and be OK for the game.”

Humphrey is a key piece of Alabama’s top-ranked defense with 33 tackles and two interceptions.

The No. 1 Crimson Tide (12-0, 8-0) and No. 15 Florida (8-3, 6-2) will clash at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday in Atlanta.
