Alabama’s second-leading tackler, junior LB Shaun Dion Hamilton, will not be back on the field for the second half of today’s SEC Championship Game vs. Florida.

Hamilton suffered a knee injury in the first half and was taken to the locker room for evaluation.

Coming out of the locker room after the intermission, Alabama coach Nick Saban gave an update on Hamilton’s status:

The extent of Hamilton’s injury has yet to be determined, but with the amount of pain he was in coming off the field, it doesn’t look good for the talented linebacker.
