Nico Iamaleava is a 5-star QB in the 2023 recruiting class and one of the hottest prospects in the entire nation when it comes to drawing interest from big-name schools.
On Wednesday evening, the No. 7 overall player in the class trimmed his list to 5 schools.
As you can see below, Iamaleava took to Twitter to reveal that 3 SEC programs — Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee — were still in the mix:

Those 3 SEC programs will compete with Oregon out of the Pac-12 and Miami out of the ACC for Iamaleava’s services in 2023 and beyond.
Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Iamaleava is the No. 4 quarterback in the class of 2023 and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of California.
