Nico Iamaleava notches first career TD for Tennessee in Vols’ rout of UConn

Nico Iamaleava has his first of likely many touchdowns for Tennessee.
The freshman quarterback and former No. 2 quarterback in the Class of 2023 made his 3rd appearance of the season for the Vols in their dominant performance against UConn. He led Tennessee down the field with ease, capping off the drive with a 19-yard touchdown pass to McCallan Castles, giving the Vols a 56-3 lead.

Tennessee fans got a taste of what Iamaleava will bring to the Vols next season when he is likely the starter. The young quarterback showed off his speed on the ground and his ability to find targets down the field. With plenty of time still left in the game, Tennessee will get to see a few more drives from Iamaleava.
Joe Milton will likely finish out the season as the Vols’ starter, but Tennessee is in good hands with Iamaleava next season.
