No. 1 JUCO CB Saivion Smith officially signs with Alabama

Though CB Saivion Smith has already started practicing with Alabama this week, he wasn’t officially a part of the Crimson Tide’s 2018 recruiting class.
That changed on Wednesday, when the talented JUCO defender signed his letter of intent as part of the early signing period.
Alabama officially welcomed the elite cornerback to the Crimson Tide family via Twitter on Wednesday morning:

According to the 247Sports composite, Smith is the No. 2 overall JUCO player in the class of 2018, the No. 1 overall JUCO cornerback and the No. 1 overall JUCO player from the state of Mississippi.
Smith played at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College this season, and will likely compete for playing time right away at Alabama.
