The Minnesota Timberwolves selected former Georgia star Anthony Edwards with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

They’re counting on him to contribute right away, and in the season opener against the Detroit Pistons, he’s off to a hot start.

Below, you can see  his first NBA bucket — a contested 3-point shot:

Was that bucket a sign of things to come? Edwards already has 11 points in only 13 minutes of action as the Timberwolves trail the Pistons 57-56 at halftime.

Edwards could crack the starting lineup soon if he keeps this up. We’ll see if he can develop into Minnesota’s third star alongside Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell.
