On Tuesday, the Big Ten announced plans to postpone the fall sports seasons, including football.

That led Nebraska, Ohio State and other schools to come out in protest of the league’s decision, with both of those squads saying they’d explore other options to play this fall.

However, on Wednesday afternoon, Ohio State AD Gene Smith said the Buckeyes are not exploring options any further:

While that goes against what coach Ryan Day said recently, Smith is the one with the most power in this situation. Now, it seems he’ll respect the league and university president’s decisions.

Things can always change, but at this point in time, it looks like we’re in for a fall season without Buckeye football.
