A “win” for the little guys?

Sure plenty of people poke fun at Alabama for claiming several mythical national titles that they may or may not have been awarded by the most reputable outlets, but at least all those Crimson Tide teams were honored as national champions outside of the school itself claiming the titles.

UCF appears to be taking another route.

After capping an impressive 13-0 season with a win over SEC West champion Auburn in the Peach Bowl, UCF AD Danny White said he would claim this team as national champions. Now, he’s apparently prepared to take that to another level and actually hang a banner declaring it — despite his team not participating in the College Football Playoff.

After a day of back and forth with UCF fans on Twitter, Paul Finebaum should have plenty of fun with this one on his Wednesday program.
