On the heels of a record-setting performance, Arkansas TE C.J. O’Grady may have played his last game for the Razorbacks.

O’Grady did not play against Mississippi State, and on Friday wrote a tweet that hinted that his career in Fayetteville may be over.

“Beyond blessed to say I had the privilege and opportunity to be a Razorback,” he tweeted. “I was actually given the chance to live my dream and I will forever be thankful for it.”

Alyssa Lang of the SEC Network said he said out because of disciplinary action. Andrew Hutchinson of HawgBeat.com, meanwhile, reported, that “sources have indicated it’s a suspension for missing meetings this week. A spokesperson for the UA said head coach Chad Morris will address it after the game.”

O’Grady last week caught his third touchdown pass of the season in the loss to Alabama on Saturday, and it moved him to the top spot in the Arkansas record book, with more touchdowns than any other tight end to play in Fayetteville. O’Grady has 12 touchdowns on his career.

This was supposed to be a big season for O’Grady coming off a 2018 season where he played in 10 of 12 games for the Razorbacks during his junior season, and started five. He earned two Pro Football Focus SEC Team of the Week honors in back-to-back games after performances against Texas A&M (Sept. 29) and Alabama (Oct. 6).

The Fayetteville native in his recruiting class was a 4-star prospect, and named the top recruit in the Natural State and the No. 2 tight end in the nation by 247Sports.
