Noah Clowney wasn’t as highly hyped as fellow Alabama freshmen Brandon Miller and Jaden Bradley this past season.
However, he improved his game every time he stepped on the court and worked his way into Round 1 of the 2023 NBA Draft.
On Thursday night in Brooklyn, Clowney was selected No. 21 overall by the Brooklyn Nets. Now he’ll team up with former Georgia forward Nic Claxton in the Brooklyn frontcourt.

Brooklyn is a team in transition. Even after trading Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden in recent years, the Nets made the playoffs this past season. However, they lost to the Philadelphia 76ers in Round 1.
At Alabama last year, Clowney appeared in 36 games, starting all of them. He averaged 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest.
Can Clowney help the Nets get back to the playoffs in 2023-24? He and Mikal Bridges, among others, will be key pieces of Brooklyn’s plan this coming season!
