North Carolina DE has pair from SEC East in Final 4

Three-star strong-side defensive end Matthew Butler appears to be open to leaving the Tar Heel state, but doesn’t want to get too far from home judging by his final four schools, revealed Saturday on Twitter.

The Garner, N.C. calls his list, which includes South Carolina and Tennessee, a “final four,” but also hints at a potential visit to Penn State. A small sampling of recruiting experts on 247Sports, which ranks Butler the No. 20 prospect in the state, point to Butler ultimately choosing South Carolina (4-of-6 Crystal Ball predictions). Butler’s last three campus visits have to been SEC teams, with him checking out Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina in order over a four-day stretch.
