The Notre Dame Fighting Irish kick off the 2021 season Sunday night against the Florida State Seminoles in Doak Campbell Stadium (Tallahassee), and they will do so without 3 players.

The school announced Sunday afternoon that linebacker Jordan Botelho, running back Logan Diggs and running back C’Bo Flemister. All 3 players were listed on this week’s depth chart; however, they are unavailable for the season opener against the Seminoles. All 3 players are considered depth players and not impact players.

The Irish are looking for another College Football Playoff berth in 2021, while Florida State is looking for stability within its battered program the last few seasons. FSU will attempt to get things started off on the right foot against a top 10 program in Notre Dame.

Notre Dame and Florida State kickoff on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
