Notre Dame has been in complete control against Virginia on Saturday, as the Fighting Irish were up 28 points after the third quarter as they look to move to 9-1 on the season.

While they have scored a lot of points on Saturday, the Irish lost out on an opportunity for an incredible fake punt fumblerooski touchdown because of a penalty.

The Fighting Irish were called an illegal-formation, and it wiped off what would have been a touchdown for the ages. Here’s a replay:

Former Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett is on the broadcast team, and had this to say about the play.

“You can’t call this thing back, it’s one of the greatest plays I’ve seen in football,” Garrett joked on the broadcast. “Regardless, this play will be studied by football coaches all across the country. They are going to be putting in.”

Running back Jeremiyah Love has had a big day for the Fighting Irish, as he has went over the 100-yard mark for the 3rd time this season.

Notre Dame will finish the season with games against Army and USC.
