The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 38-31 in a wild game at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
Former Alabama tight end O.J. Howard played a key role in this one, making 3 catches for 50 yards and a touchdown. However, his day came to a premature end in the 4th quarter as he departed after sustaining an apparent injury to his Achilles tendon.
After the game, Bucs coach Bruce Arians provided an update on Howard, and it confirmed the worst for the 4th-year player.

This season, Howard had recorded 8 catches for 96 yards in an offense led by Tom Brady. In 14 games last year, he made 53 catches for 459 yards and a touchdown. His best season to date was in 2018, where he notched 565 yards and 5 touchdowns.
The Buccaneers have a short week as they head to Chicago to face the Bears on Thursday Night Football.
