Former Alabama OL Lester Cotton Sr. has been promoted to the Oakland Raiders 53-man active roster after the team moved LB Marquel Lee to the Reserve/Injured List
The club made the announcement on Saturday, ahead of the team’s Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Cotton, who signed with Oakland as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2019, has spent 13-of-14 games on the Raiders’ practice squad this season. He was previously promoted to the active roster for Week 5, a game Oakland won 24-21 over the Chicago Bears.
Cotton Sr. played four years for the Crimson Tide, starting 28 games for the program, making 18 at right guard before moving to left guard, where he started 10 games, as a senior in 2018. He will wear No. 67 for the Raiders.
