When the Cleveland Browns play the New York Jets on Monday night, all eyes will be on Odell Beckham Jr. when Cleveland has the ball. This time, however, it won’t be just because of Beckham’s likelihood to turn in a highlight play.

Beckham made headlines this week when he accused current New York Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams of encouraging his defenders to play dirty and target the former LSU wide receiver. Beckham specifically recalled a time when he was facing a Williams-coached defense in the 2017 preseason. (Beckham was then a New York Giant when Williams was Cleveland’s defensive coordinator.)

“I had players on this team telling me that that’s what he was telling them to do,” Beckham said.

Williams responded at a recent press conference.

“We don’t do that. Never done that anywhere I’ve been,” Williams said.
