Odell Beckham Jr. won’t be the only former LSU wide receiver playing a big role in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday.
No, the Los Angeles Rams standout will be sharing the field with Cincinnati Bengals rookie Ja’Marr Chase — the likely NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Was Beckham surprised to see Chase fare so well in the NFL so quickly? Beckham responded to that question on Monday:
.@OBJ was not surprised at Ja'Marr Chase's early success in the league.

“Not really surprised,” Beckham said. “He’s someone I watched closely at LSU and just the things he was able to do, it wasn’t just like because of the offense or the coordinator that these guys were going crazy. These were elite … he’s an elite guy. It truly is amazing what he’s done as a rookie, but it just doesn’t surprise me. He’s a big, physical receiver. I’m just very happy for him.”
We’ll see which former LSU receiver has a better performance in the big game on Sunday.
