Ohio State defensive lineman shot in face shares health update

An Ohio State defensive lineman is recovering after being shot in the face this weekend.
Haskell Garrett shared an update Monday via his Twitter account. After thanking God for being alive, Garrett acknowledged the police, EMTs, doctors and nurses who came to his aid. He also shared that he’s doing all right after the scare.
“I want to inform everyone that I am okay and my recovery is going well,” Garrett wrote in his note.
Sunday morning it was reported that Garrett was found after officers followed a trail of blood to his location. Garrett reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the cheek of his face.
The 22-year-old senior Buckeye has appeared in 33 total games during his time with Ohio State and is the Big Ten’s highest-graded returning defensive tackle for the 2020 season according to Pro Football Focus.
Garrett signed with Ohio State out of Nevada.
