Ohio State RB Trey Sermon has been 1 of the best stories of the college football postseason, breaking out in the Buckeyes’ wins against Northwestern and Clemson.
After Ohio State went 3-and-out to start the College Football Playoff title game against Alabama on Monday night, though, it seems his night could be coming to an early end.
Sermon was seen heading back to the locker room after the first drive, seemingly with an upper body injury:

ESPN’s Maria Taylor said on the broadcast that Sermon was dealing with left shoulder pain on the sideline and the staff took him back to the locker room.
Master Teague, who missed last week’s game against Clemson, figures to get a bulk of the work if Sermon misses time.
