Oklahoma secured the commitment of a solid recruit in the 2024 class Thursday.

Michael Boganowski, a native of Junction City (Kan.) High went with Oklahoma over the likes of Kansas, Florida State, and Kansas State. The linebacker comes in at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds.

Boganowski is a 4-star LB. The 247Sports Composite ranks him at No. 39 at the position and No. 1 recruit from Kansas. Two current SEC teams offered him in Tennessee and Missouri.

The other schools who showed interest in him were Duke, Stanford, Iowa State, Michigan, Nebraska, New Mexico State, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, USC, and Washington.

Boganowski will be joining fellow LB and 4-star commit James Nesta in Norman.

The Kansas native’s impact on the field is a big one. Last season for Junction City he had 123 total tackles, 4 interceptions, 1 forced fumble, 1 passing touchdown, and 2 rushing touchdowns.

The Sooners have a solid class as they prepare to join the SEC next season. Here’s a highlight tape of Bogakowski:
