Oklahoma earned a major win on the recruiting trail on Tuesday morning.
The Sooners picked up a commitment from 3-star offensive lineman Eugene Brooks. He chose OU over Texas. He also had offers from programs such as Oregon, UCLA and Michigan State, amongst others.

Brooks is a significant pickup for the Sooners. He’s the No. 615 overall player and the No. 40 interior offensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 46 player from California.
He attends Sierra Canyon High School in California. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 320 pounds.
Brooks took an official visit to Norman last month. He also made a trip to Texas prior to making this decision.
Oklahoma now has 16 commitments in the class of 2024, including 2 from offensive linemen. The group sits at No. 16 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
