Oklahoma lands commitment from highly-touted WR out of Louisiana

Oklahoma added another piece to its 2024 recruiting class on Monday night.

The Sooners picked up a commitment from 3-star receiver Kelly “KJ” Daniels.

Here’s his announcement:

Daniels attends Franklinton High School in Franklinton, Louisiana. He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 155 pounds. He chose the Sooners over offers from programs like Texas Tech, Houston and Cincinnati.

He does not currently have a 247Sports Composite rating. However, that could change in the coming months as the 2024 cycle continues to progress.

Daniels is the 3rd player to commit to Oklahoma in the class of 2024. He’s also the first receiver to do so, making him the 1st player to commit to new Oklahoma receivers coach Emmett Jones.

Overall, Oklahoma’s recruiting class ranks No. 56 nationally per 247Sports Composite rankings. The Sooners are expected to make more additions to this class in the near future.
